Al-Qasim Foundation

Al-Qasim Foundation is the one of Non Government Organizations of District Khushab registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, Registration No. JSC/KHB/313/2005/10. It is working in the fields of Social Services (education, health etc.), Literacy, Democratization, Awareness, Gender Equity, Women Empowerment, Environment, Human rights, Community mobilization, and Rehabilitation of Disabled person. Now its working with 50 members in which most are graduates. Member’s men & women are working with the spirit to participate in the development of Pakistan.

Aims & Objectives of Al-Qasim Foundation are as Follows:-

1.       To strengthen the social development process in rural communities through multi-sectoral programmes targeting the poorest of the poor especially women and children.

2.      Strengthen and empowering communities to solve their problems through collective action and participation.

3.     To empower women by reducing gender discrimination.

4.     To promote human rights awareness among the women, men and youth belonging to low-income areas.

5.     To create enabling environments where community has jests and equal rights to opportunity.

6.     To initiate programme for economical enhancement.

7.     To promote participatory process and cooperative actions by providing social and technical guidance to uninitiated community groups for sustainable development and environment conservation.

8.     Modernizing agriculture through introduction of innovative, sustainable and environment friendly agricultural technology with emphasis on organic agriculture to increase yields and alleviate the poverty of the small farmers.

9.     The rehabilitation and conversation of natural resources to ensure the sustainable development of agriculture.

10. To work with poor and marginalized people to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequality that cause it.

11.  Al-Qasim Foundation has a focused mission to provide quality health, non formal education and social services to undeserved communities in District Khushab by using innovative and participatory approaches
